Quord

Quord is a four-voice sawtooth drone synthesizer and "harmony exploration machine" designed for ear-based tuning. It features a resonant filter that acts as a fifth voice, a distortion circuit, and long-throw sliders for precise manual control over harmonic intervals.

The long sliders control four pitches. Carefully slide them to find pockets where two, three, or more voices sit together - either with ease or with tension. The pitch ranges of the oscillators are limited from bass to alto to allow for some tuning precision by hand. Quord lacks a traditional keyboard. Instead you play it by tuning the oscillators. If Quord were an acoustic instrument, it would be like a guitar that you play by retuning the strings.

The four short mixer sliders combine the sawtooth voices into one sound stream. The mix flows into a filter (yellow) followed by a distortion (red). The filter tames the sound before the distortion adds edge, highlights beating rhythms, and glues the sound together.

Surprisingly, the resonance works great as a fifth voice. At the right settings, it latches onto overtones of the blended sawtooth waves, combining to make a new musical scale that always complements the drone. Simple melodies can be teased out for ancient campfire music.

Melancholytron

The Melancholytron is a book and a synthesizer, developed around a single emotional state — melancholy. It comes as a large, coffee-table-style book of 72 pages containing stories, illustrations, and poems that explore melancholy from different angles, alongside a brief introduction to the phenomenon and its translation into sound.

The included synthesizer features 25 non-velocity-sensitive keys, 5-note polyphony, and approximately 300 shades of melancholic sound. Each preset consists of individual samples for each key, with a minimum of 25 samples per preset. Some presets extend across a wider range of octaves through additional sampling.

The sounds are shaped using eight real-time controls — Darkness, Context, Waiting, Linger, Clouding, Stress, Weight, and Focus — adjusting qualities such as weight, brightness, darkness, depth, and the way a sound emerges and lingers over time. A looming volume slider allows for gradual swells and careful placement within a musical context.

Inspired by live modular techniques, Etches is built upon classic synthesis and tape music traditions. Its main engine includes a monophonic voice generator, a complex oscillator, a splice recorder with overdub capability, and an internal LFO that modulates splice behavior. Built-in spatial processing includes a tape-style delay and stereo reverb. Musical overdrive with soft clipping rounds out the signal path.

Control is designed around direct performance interaction rather than traditional synthesis parameters. Four touch-sensitive articulation pads provide control over contour, timbre-shaping, and animation. A touch keyboard accepts note input, while eleven scale and mode options keep performance locked to the chosen key. Voices can be triggered via onboard controls, MIDI, or CV/gate triggering, supporting hands-on playing, modular systems, and sequencing.

Each voice features independent pitch control that snaps to scale degrees, enabling open-ended melodic movement within a stable musical framework. At its core is a morphing tonal engine. The Shape control moves each voice from a warm sine-like foundation into harmonic saturation with analog style overtones, grit, and complexity, delivering a deep resonant low end with strong weight and bass response. Attack and Decay shape voice response from percussive rhythmic strikes to slow evolving swells that dissolve into space.

A global LFO modulates pitch across all voices, from subtle drift to extreme instability. Onboard reverb expands everything into a deep spatial field and atmospheric wash. GREAT CONJUNCTION is NOT a deliberate instrument.
You cannot intentionally place notes or events in a sequence.
Instead, sequences are generated algorithmically using one of three methods (pseudo-random, euclidean or cellular automata).
Sequencer events trigger the internal YM2413 FM sound chip, and can trigger MIDI output.
The Yamaha YM2413 chip is only capable of producing one custom sound. The three sequencers can send conflicting data to the YM2413, causing it to manifest tones that would be difficult or impossible to program directly.

Scrooge

Scrooge is a sequenced malfunction generator, available as a 42 HP Eurorack module or semi-modular desktop synth. While you can convince it to deliver boomy kick drum sounds, clicky hi-hats or metallic snares, it would much rather be making glitchy artifacts, hollow crackles and horribly distorted growls. It contains a sophisticated and performance-oriented step sequencer with parameter locking and the possibility to control all steps across multiple tracks at once. Its 5 distinct and fully analog voices are made up of special circuits that work without dedicated power supplies, scrounging power from the sequencer control signals instead, which gives them an organic and unstable quality. As a bonus, it means you won’t have to power the unit itself if you sequence it from external gear.

VMIX-10

The VMIX-10 R2 is the successor of the popular VMIX-10; a mixer made especially with the Korg Volca series in mind; it offers the following features:

6 mono input channels with minijack sockets each 2 stereo input channels with stereo minijack sockets for each click-free mute buttons per channels per channel: level, pan and two FX-send knobs 2 FX send-return sections (send mono, return stereo) master level control stereo headphone output with separate level control four DC isolated 9V power supply outputs, for Volca synths or other devices. The DC isolation suppresses noise especially when powering Volcas from the VMIX-10 (an annoying effect caused by a design detail of the Volcas when powered commonly with the VMIX-10).

The case size is identical with the Volca series, so the VMIX-10 should fit exactly in the Volca stands that are available from different suppliers. It includes a power supply adapter with snap-on plugs for EU, UK and US (AU on request).

Albers is a 4 oscillator drone synth capable of a wide range of sounds. Features include:- Pitch control with CV/Signal input. Level control with a VCA CV input for each individual oscillator. LDR to control each oscillator or LFO with a light source. Range switch to change the overall pitch of the oscillator.

Each LFO consist of three switchable waveforms. Ramp up, ramp down and triangle (half speed). Rate and depth controls. LFO reset input to restart the LFO using a trigger/gate signal. LFOs are internally connected to oscillator pitch. Each LFO has it’s own output to connect to other gear/other parts of Albers.

The Oscillators are summed together and sent through a low pass filter with CV inputs for cutoff and peak.

Ampulla

Ampulla is a noise box/drone voice that comes with all the parts to put together your own noise synth. It features an onboard contact mic running through a preamp. Cadence is a 4 oscillator, square wave generator. It can perform several different functions. Cadence can be used as a drone synth/rhythmic drone synthesizer using the 4 onboard oscillators. Each is run through a “count” control that acts as a divider before passing through several logic gates and then into the, CV controlled, low pass filter before the main output. Oscillators can be synced to create more interesting timbres.

Each oscillator can be routed to it’s own individual, or grouped, output bypassing the filter for separate processing. At low frequency rates (using count) these individual outputs can be used as gates for external/modular equipment (creating interesting beats/clock signals/envelope triggers etc) but will also reset/sync the synth’s other oscillators at the same time.

Sn is a lofi FM synthesiser capable of a wide range of sounds.

Features:- 7 FM Algorithms each with 3 different pitch settings. The algorithm selection can also be stepped using a trigger/gate signal.

Carrier pitch with CV input. Modulator pitch(es) with CV input. FM Amount control with CV input.

The output is run through a 3 position passive LPF which turns into a Low pass gate when the VCA switch is down and a CV signal is connected to the VCA input.
